Golden League Season 2
Group A was a very tight group with just one point separating the top three.Simon Birkett making his debut along with five other players was quick into stride rattling off a 2-0 victory over three times finalist Sie Simmons.Mick Bower another joining season two won his opener against another new face Mick Hulley 2-0.Mick Hulley then hit a 15 dart leg to see out his 2nd match over Simon Birkett who recorded a maximum.Mick Bower won his next game 2-0 hitting a 21 dart leg to win against Sie Simmons.Mick then lost 2-0 to Simon Birkett with Simon recording a 19 & 20 dart leg and Mick Hulley needed a 2-0 win over Sie Simmons to to have any chance of making the semi finals but just fell short.This left Simon Birket and Mick Bower in a one leg playoff to go into the semi finals and Mick bower was victorious.

Group B
Lee cushworth another new face was up against Aarron Sayles who had won into three semi finals last season and was quick away winning the opening leg but Lee was straight back at him.Paul Moore then had a 2-0 victory over last season r/up Mick Smith and also recorded the same score over Aarron Sayles.Lee Cushworth hit a 116 out to see away with Mick Smith and then played Paul Moore only needing one leg to see him through but Lee pushed him all the way and the group ended with Paul Moore just edging out Lee Cushworth in the last game of the group both Mick Smith and aarron Sayles shared the point in the group of death as we will be seeing a lot of all four men I am sure.

Group c was another very close group which ended in a playoff after two of the players finished level on points.Lian Johnson a former finalist registered a 3-0 win over Jake Rhodes and Anne Simmons also beat Jake 2-1 and then recorded a fine win over Liam Johnson 2-1 and now level on points with Liam.Anne was so close miscalculating her score on 36 and throwing a 20 and that let Liam in who finished well to take the semi final spot

Group D
Trevor Burkhill hit three sub 18 dart legs and in doing also hit a 100 and a 101 checkout to top the group early with a 3-0 win over Patrick Meeson.Paul Johnson also fell to the same score against the reigning GL champion Trev 3-0 leving Trevor in a uncatchable lead and the last game was won by Patrick Meeson over Paul Johnson.

Semi Finals
The opening semi final was exciting stuff with Paul Moore making quick work of the 1st leg and then narrowly missed the single when on a 116 out and Mick Bower was left on 133 which he took out to record the highest finish of the night.The deciding leg again had Paul left on 116 but this time he made no errors and took it out to win the game.Trevor Burkhill and Liam Johnson met for the 7th time in Golden League and it was Trevor who won through 2-0 winning a very close last leg.

Final
Paul was quick away with a maximum in the final and kept up the same pace winning both legs in under 18 darts and winning the final with a 91 average and Trevor recording slightly higher in a quality game that sees Paul Moore top the points table and recording his first tournament win at his first attempt in the Golden League
