 SHEFFIELD FRANCHISE LEAGUE
                 
0       Committee
0.1     The Committee shall be made from players who play in the league or sponsor
0.2     All members of the Committee must be registered to a team
1 Registrations.
1.1 A team may register as many as 10 , but no less than 4 players per season.
1.2 Players starting a new season must register by week 10 and after that a £10 fee will be charged for players after week 10
1.3 Any team playing a non registered player will lose the game 6-0 and have a further 6 pts deducted if re offending.
1.4 Anyone registered to play in the Sheffield Franchise League cannot play in any other team darts league on the same evening.
1.5 Any player who breaks rule 1.4 shall be suspended up to 12 months
1.6 Once you have played for a team you are then registered to that team and may not transfer until the following season
1.7 If a player leaves the league and plays in another league on the same evening they will be suspended until the following season
1.8 The deadline for registrations is week 7 but you can still register upto week 10, after that you will have to pay a late registration fee of £10 per player before they can play

2 Match, Game and Playing Format.
2.1 All games should use the DRA rules.
2.2 A match will consist of 6 games ‘best of 5 x 501 singles best of 3x701 pairs’ consisting of 4 singles games and two pairs games.
2.3 The away team shall throw first in the odd numbered games, (1,3,5) and 1st,3rd legs & 5th legs, with the home team
    throwing first in the even games (2,4,6).
2.4 A scorer Electronic scorer and/or chalk/pen board must be used in all competitions.
2.5 Each team captain on the night must name their first 4 throwers by 8.30 pm
    if later the offending team forfeit the match 6-0 but matches may start as early as needed
2.6 Named players selected to play must be present before the end of the previous game or they will lose their game.
2.7 All matches are to be played on the designated date.
2.8 Fixtures can be cancelled but only twice a season with a 7 day notice .
2.9 In the unlikely event that a particular team cancels a match after the 7 day deadline  they will forfeit the game 6-0
2.10 Team Captains shall name the order of play
2.11 A raised oche must be used if possible
2.12 Points will be won by winning each individual game in a match, so a 4-2 win would get you 4 pts and 2pts for the losing side
2.13 All team venue's must be drivable within a 12 mile radius of  Sheffield S1 postcode

3 Team Knock Out
3.1 The team knock out shall be  same format as the league but with only three singles games and two pairs matches in a race to three
3.2 In the Team knock Out matches, a coin toss shall decide who goes 1st

4 Individuals Knock Out
4.1 The individuals’ competition shall be 1 game ‘best of 5 x 501’ with best of 7 legs in the final.The ladies will be best of 3x501  with best of 5x501 in the final
4.2 the Individuals Knock Out will be played at a neutral venue, the player throwing first in legs 1,3,5 will be decided by nearest to the bull (PDC rule).
4.3 This shall be the rules for all knockouts
4.4 All players in the singles and pairs knockouts must play a minimum of 6 games a season

5 Pairs Knock Out
5.1 The pairs knock out competition shall be ‘best of 3 x 701’ up to the final which will be the best of 5 legs.
5.2 The pairs Knock Out will be played at a neutral venue, the players throwing first in legs 1,3,5 legs will be decided by nearest to the bull.
5.3 The draws shall be made on the night at 8pm with a 8-15pm start for team knockout,All 1st round knockouts made at 1st meeting
 Please note that losing players in both Individuals and Pairs competitions must either mark the next game or nominate someone, otherwise they will be omitted from the next season’s competitions.
 Pro markers will be available on the night to help when needed if unable to mark yourself.

6 Results
6.1 all teams are permitted to post their result on the SFL Facebook site or E mail the results secretary
6.2 Each team shall nominate  a Captain
6.3 Players scoring 180, scoring a high check out (100 +), or throwing a leg of a low number of darts under 21, should have their achievement acknowledged on the result card,
    verified, and signed by the two team captains.  An award will be given to the player with the lowest number of darts in a leg under 11 and must be an outright winner, the highest checkout and the most 180's in a season
    and an extra award given for the highest ladies finish.

7 Meetings
7.1 Each team shall nominate a captain or delegate to attend the meetings
7.2 Meetings shall be in the following months  October,December & April see fixtures for dates
7.3 All registrations and competitions must be in by the 1st meeting
7.4 Failure to comply will result in the offending team removed from the league
8 Social Media
8.1 Only player that play in the SFL will be allowed to be on the social media page
8.2 Any comment by a league player which is seemed to be vulgar or in bad taste to the league shall be removed with constant offenders banned from the league
9 Disputes
9.1 Any disputes regarding any incident, must be made in writing to the league Secretary with in 5 days of the incident.
9.2 Any dispute will be dealt with by the committee.
10 Behaviour and Darts Etiquette
10.1 Any person deemed to have brought the game of darts into disrepute, will be subject to disciplinary action, or even face expulsion from the league.
     These decisions will be made by the committee Any appeals must be made in writing to the league Committee.
11 Finals  Night
11.1 All competitions shall be played on the specific date except the singles championship,pairs and Ladies finals. to be played on presentation night
12 Fees for season 2018/19 are:-
12.1    One single team registration fee of £70 due at the 1st meeting
12.3    Team Knockout is £5
13 Competitions (Optional)
13.1 Merit knockout if for the Captain or Vice captain to play against other team captains and shall be one person per team
13.2 Ladies championship and this is open to all female players in the league
13.3 legends trophy is open to all players of 50 and over
13.4 All knockout will be best of 3x501 unless stated with finals best of 5x501
13.5 All knockouts shall be £2 entry except Merit Cup which is free for your delegate/captain
13.6 It is £5 for all Pairs Knock Out Competitions entrant

14 Teams
14.1 All teams must carry a team name and colours
